As a clinical laboratory consultant, I have over 25 years of clinical laboratory experience in laboratories that were located in two 500-bed teaching hospitals, an army hospital overseas, two rural critical access hospitals, two rural ambulatory clinics and within a state reference testing laboratory. This diversity of experience includes,
- over 15 years of clinical laboratory supervision/management of high and/or moderately complex laboratories.
- over 5 of these years managing/supervising clinical laboratories in the US Army both within the US and on deployment.
- 14 months of clinical laboratory and point of care consulting oversight of 5 US Army oversees medical treatment facilities.
- over 10 years of experience as a Laboratory Director providing consultative and administrative support for moderate and waived testing within an emergency department, inpatient ward, ambulatory care clinic and at point of care testing locations within physicians' offices.
This experience includes meeting CLIA '88 and FDA regulations as well as CAP, TJC and AABB accreditation requirements.
